BEST DRUGSTORE FOUNDATIONS EVER?

Choosing the right foundation is key to a flawless complexion but sometimes, it's just so dang hard to find the perfect one. It can definitely be a trial and error process (and I've had my fair share of hits and misses), so I decided to break down the best drugstore foundations in the marketa variety of finishes for different skin types so you're bound to find the perfect one for you! Oh and did I mention they're all drugstore too? WIN.

Garnier BB Cream
Price: USD12.99/ RM55.86
Skin Type: All
Coverage: Light - Medium
Finish: Dewy

Okay, so I know the Garnier BB Cream is technically a BB cream but this has been my ultimate ride or die for YEARS. They've changed the packaging a few times (it'll differ in other countries too) but the formula has pretty much stayed the same. It is perfect for my beauties who prefer a light to medium coverage - it evens out your skin tone while giving you a beautiful, healthy glow. Not to mention, it feels extremely hydrating on the skin. The shade range is limited but what I love is that the formula allows the product to blend in beautifully to the colour of your skin (just try to match a shade closest to you) A must-try, if you haven't already!

Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation
Price: US7.99/ RM42.79
Skin Type: Combination and Oily
Coverage: Medium (buildable)
Finish: Matte

Most matte foundations have the tendency to look cakey because of their mattefying properties. However, the Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless leaves the skin looking fresh and healthy. It has a lightweight formula with medium coverage but can be buildable to full. As some of you know, 80% of the time my skin is pretty dry but I do get a little oily in the T-zone once in awhile and I find this foundation does such a good job at controlling those oils. Also, a little goes a long way with this one!
Revlon Colorstay
Price: USD12.99/ RM43.51
Skin Type: Combination to Oily
Coverage: Medium to Full
Finish: Matte

The Revlon Colorstay is perfect for those who like a long-wearing foundation with minimal touchups throughout the day (wait, who doesn't love that?) It's a medium to full coverage foundation that blends like a dream, melts into the skin and gives you a beautiful matte finish. The formula is also specifically known to control oil, keeping you shine free all day!
L'oréal True Match Super Blendable
Price: USD10.95/ RM58.90
Skin Type: Combination to Oily/ Acne Prone
Coverage: Medium
Finish: Dewy

The L'oreal True Match is definitely a cult favourite - possibly one of the best and more popular foundations to date. The formula is so silky, it glides onto the skin so effortlessly and blends like a dream. When it dries down, your skin is left looking healthy and dewy. I feel it gives just the right amount of coverage - your skin still shows through while looking filtered and well, flawless. A great plus, is that it's an oil free foundation which is perfect for those who have acne prone or sensitive skin. No surprise breakouts! *Use a beauty blender for lighter coverage or opt for a brush for more full coverage (this applies to most foundations too!)
Bourjois Healthy Mix
Price: USD13.90/ RM57.88
Skin Type: Dry to Normal
Coverage: Light to Medium
Finish: Dewy

I remember distinctly when I bought my very first Bourjois foundation. I was in Priceline (a pharmacy in Australia) and I saw a girl stocking up 3-4 bottles. I hadn't heard of Bourjois prior to this so I had to ask if it was any good (even though it was pretty obvious lol) and she said 'Best. Foundation. Ever.' I was sold there and then - tried it and fell in LOVE. The Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation is one of those foundations that feel like you've got barely anything on your skin but gives you just the right amount of coverage (definitely more on the sheer/ natural side). It evens out your skin tone and makes your skin feel moisturised and plump. This particular formula also has a ton of vitamins to really protect and hydrate the skin, so not only is your skin going to look amazing, you know that it's also good for the skin too. Note: If foundations tend to oxidise on you (as it does on me), get a shade lighter in this one!

Price: USD12.99/ RM73.40
Skin Type: All
Coverage: Full
Finish: Matte

The L'oréal Infallible 24HR Matte foundation is definitely a full coverage matte foundation but it doesn't feel or look cakey on the skin (the formula is on the thicker side though). I tend to squirm a little when the words 'full coverage' + 'matte' are put in one sentence (to me, that = drying) but this is not the case with the Infallible - it blends beautifully and although it dries matte, it doesn't make you look completely flat. You'll still have a slight glow to the skin, which is always a plus!

Price: USD11.99/ RM46.95
Skin Type: All
Coverage: Full
Finish: Satin Matte

The Maybelline Better Skin Foundation is another great full coverage foundation that is long-wearing. It's very lightweight, easy to blend and gives your skin a natural yet flawless finish. It dries fairly quickly so it doesn't leave your skin feeling tacky if you don't set it with powder. It supposedly has skincare benefits as well but in all honesty, I haven't used the foundation consistently long enough to see how true that is. If you're a fan and a long time user of this foundation, let us know if you've seen any improvements in your skin!

Also, if you had any other holy grail drugstore foundations to share, feel free to comment down below too - I'd love to know!
